One of the best stories written by Hans Christian Andersen, “the Ugly duckling”, is going to take flesh and bones on a theater scene this weekend and we thought that you might be interested!
Most of you must have already read this touching and full of messages story during your childhood or even later. But for those who by any chance didn’t happen to hear about the ugly duckling, here is a brief summary: in a farm, an egg of a swan is getting mixed with the eggs of a duck. By breaking the shells, everybody can see that one of them is different. Nobody accepts its difference, not even the family. Instead of that everybody treats it in a bad way and also they call it “ugly duckling”. Therefore, the “ugly duckling” decides to leave away. Its trip is full of strange adventures and meetings with strange characters. In this trip it understands how the world works but soon there will be a huge surprise for it, a metamorphosis that will change completely its life.
Thanks to the theatrical group Mulablo, you will have the chance to see it on stage for 2 performances at the theater Arteria Campos Eliseos. From Instituto Hemingway we believe that this is a great opportunity for our Spanish students to practise their listening and comprehension in Spanish while enjoying a spectacular performance.
