Course Spanish teachers for graduates in translation and interpretation

Hello everyone !

My name is Bea and I recently graduated in translation and interpretation.

Like everyone when they finish their degree, I was quite lost and I didn't know very well where to address my future path. Since in the career as translators, we also had a great training in Spanish and it's something that looked very interesting, I decided to undertake this course in order to introduce my-self to the ELE world.

I think it is a very good outset apart from being a very interesting job. I think that, a bit like everyone does, at first you think that being a Spanish teacher for foreigners "is easy, since I'm native". Well then, while going through the different stages of the course, I started realizing that this thing of teaching Spanish is not as easy as it looked like. There are many methods, different techniques, there are many difficulties ... and this is something you will find out about later.

After having been a student all your life, when you put yourself on the opposite side, you acknowledge and find meaning to a lot of things that teachers taught you in the past (in my case it can be related with the English education, which quite resembles with it). A little bit after starting this course, I started studying for the master as well in order to be an English teacher for secondary schools, which also helped me a lot to understand some things and most importantly, seeing that it's not that easy, that it's not enough to know a language very well or being native to be a teacher, that there are many things to keep in mind and think about the repercussions that it will have on the students. It's interesting keeping always track of the innovations that come up when teaching, new methods or new educational models, so there are always things to improve and being useful for the student. Actually, teaching is something that involves many responsabilities.

I still haven't dedicated myself to teaching any of the two languages, but I hope doing it as soon as possible and most importantly, doing it in the best possible way.

Greetings to you all and see you soon.
