Official job announcement for Spanish teachers: Send us your contributions for the blog.

At Instituto Hemingway  we are announcing a new competition of contributions  for young Spanish teachers.

The competition is aimed at teachers of Spanish as a foreign language under 30 years of age who have finished or who are  carrying out  one of the face-to-face or online Spanish teacher training courses offered by Instituto Hemingway.

The  entries  must be sent in two languages, Spanish and English, and  should relate to any Spanish education topic.

The contributions will be  published on the Instituto Hemingway blog specifying their authors.  We want the contributions to be available for everybody and they can be useful for  and contribute to the Spanish as a Foreign Language community. Furthermore, they will help to improve the educational profile of the applicants.

What can you write about?

You can write about any topic with  a minimum length  of 60 lines.

These are some of the topics we suggest in addition to others which you can contribute:

-    Your educational experience as a Spanish teacher: some interesting observation or overall reflection on your  specific experiences teaching immigrants, teaching in different countries or as a conversation assistant or secondary school teacher.

-    Commentaries on any  of the Course´s modules. For example,  how  to deal with a  specific grammatical difficulty , problems with specific  Spanish  endings and students with  certain nationalities and their specific difficulties.

-    An activity created by you and that you consider useful for working on any aspect related to language acquisition.
-     A contribution  on any topic related to Spanish education: planning , methodologies, assessment, Spanish for specific purposes.
-    An educational contribution in the form of a video, an audio extract, a podcast or another type of media.

From the contributions  sent we will select one which particularly stands out because it is interesting, of a high quality and authentic. If you are the applicant  chosen we  will  offer you a work contract for six months starting in  September 2014 as a Spanish teacher. The contract will be  part time and if applicants are not resident in Bilbao we can provide them with accommodation.

The deadline to submit  contributions is the 30th September 2014.
