Spanish Courses and visiting Bilbao´s beaches.

Summer is drawing to a close but our Spanish students are still enjoying the  beaches  and the heat at the end of the summer in the North of Spain.

In Bilbao, where our Spanish school Instituto Hemingway is located, there are many different beaches. You can get to them easily by metro or  bus. The two closest beaches in Bilbao are Getxo and Algorta and you can get to them in less than 30 minutes to relax after your Spanish classes and to enjoy the sea, sun and fine sand.

A little further away are the two beaches in Sopelana called Arrietara and Atxabiribil.  They are big and peaceful and they also have very fine sand. Arrietara in particular is an ideal beach  to go surfing near to Bilbao because it has  high-quality waves.

If you want to enjoy the good weather whilst surfing in your leisure time after your morning Spanish course, this beach is perfect for you.

 However, it is  possible to go surfing on almost all of the other beaches. If you are an expert surfer or if you like secluded and tranquil beaches, you can visit Meñakoz.

In Plentzia and Gorliz there are beaches which are accessible by metro. Plentzia´s big beach has fine, gold-coloured sand.It is the most visited of the region and it is directly next to Gorliz´s beach.

All the beaches near  Bilbo are beautiful and clean with clear water. They are the perfect place to relax whilst sunbathing or swimming, but you can also enjoy the sports opportunities with surfing and sailing courses or a simple beach volleyball match.

September has already arrived but here in Bilbao the weather is very good and it is very hot. There are also free spaces on our September Spanish courses!
