Royal Spanish Academy: New dictionary of Spanish language
Yesterday the new dictionary from the Royal Spanish Academy was presented.
In its 23rd edition this reference dictionary reflects the trends in our world of Spanish as a Foreign Language Teaching.
The novelty of this edition is that it includes different americanisms and other curious words including "Birra"(a familiar word for beer as well as "cerveza") and "Blaugrana"( a supporter of Barcelona´s Football Club or an adjective relating to this club).
The pupils on our Spanish courses can now go for a drink asking for "birras" knowing that the Royal Academy of Spanish Language fully endorses them.
