Cultural activities March 2015: enjoy Bilbao after the Spanish classes

The new cultural activities for the month of March 2015 are available. Our students attending the Spanish courses for foreigners can already start to enjoy the new activities that we offer as part of the program of the Spanish courses that we give at our Instituto.

For the month of March 2015, we planned several visits to the museums in Bilbao or to the most important buildings of the town like the palacio de la Diputación or Alhóndiga. In the Museo Guggenheim a new display awaits us; same thing in the Museo de Bellas Artes.

We always try to let our students know the Spanish culture, this is why we will plan events like the session of jazz that will take place in el Teatro Campos Eliseos or one of the films in the cinema of the Alhondiga .

If the weather allows us we selected some days to visit the area sourrounding Bilbao; We went up Arxanda or the mount Pagasarri and we also visited Getxo.

Well now there will be visits to exhibitions in museums and galleries and also jazz concerts. And of course, every friday of the month of March we will have a pintxos tasting which is a perfect moment to break the ice and make new friends, talk and relax anfter a week spent studying.

And we can't forget that the month of March is the month of Easter ; We saved an afternoon to go to the Museo de Pasos de Semana Santa where our teacher-guide will explain to us all the magic of the Spanish Pasos (statues shown during the Easter procession) and the history of the religious brotherhoods. Our students will have the opportunity to enjoy the free time to see several processions, admire all the different Pasos and see the different brotherhoods getting ready for the fiestas de Pascua all year long.

Another very important day in the month of March is the Día de la mujer (day of the woman) and to pay her homage, the town offers and prepares several events and exhibitions and extra programs throughout the whole month of March. We will attend the planned events.
