Course in Spanish and Spanish Culture

We have provided courses for international students for 17 years which have helped with exams, contributed to unforgettable holidays and facilitated the adaptation of people to working in this country and culture. We believe that become part of the local culture is integral to working or studying abroad. Consequently, we have developed a course that has the specific aim of providing a foundational understanding of the Spanish culture, its origins, customs and idiosyncratic peculiarities.

Our objective is to give students the tools to overcome culture shock and the normal barriers between people from outside of Spain and its inhabitants. Owing to our experience with students from all over the world, we are experts in overcoming the challenges related with different cultures, as well as teaching Spanish!

The details:

We offer 2 main options with this course; you can take an intensive during the morning or you can take classes during the afternoons. The morning course consists of 20 hours per week, which take place between 9:30 and 13:30, and include 2 hours of Spanish language classes and 2 hours of culture focused classes per day.

In addition, there is the option to take 3 or 6 hours of classes a week during afternoons/evenings; that is between 17:00 and 20:00 each day, according to your preferences.

Cultural topics:

Our culture courses provide a summary of Spanish history which explains the origins of cultural phenomenon that exist today. Furthermore, we take students through the distinguishing features of each of Spain’s regions, as well as what differentiates Spain from Spanish speaking Latin American countries.

We try to provide an insight into daily life in Spain and how factors such as perception of time, eating times and social life differ from those of other countries. We bring classes to life through including sayings, songs and films in our lessons. We always place an emphasis on employing interactive activities as our primary mode of teaching.
