Free Activity: World Famous Guggenheim Museum
Today a BBC Mundo article was published titled ´10 most spectacular museums in the world ´, which featured the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao as one of them!
It details the effect it had on the great urban regeneration of Bilbao in the 1990s. Moreover, it cites a quote from architect Philip Johnson, in which he states that the Museum is the ´most grandiose building of our era´.
Its fish scales, made from plaques of aluminium and its curious shape most certainly catch the eye. It has become one of the most emblematic structures in the city of Bilbao, which hosts world leading contemporary art all year round. Therefore, it has visitors from all over the world, as well as from our School!
Today we are going to visit it and observe collections of works from Andy Warhol and Louise Bourgeois, the two renowned 20th century artists, with distinguished, captivating styles.
This visit is one of our free daily activities, which we offer to all of our Spanish students.
Here, you can view the activities that we have planned for next month, May 2016.
