Grab your blanket and come to enjoy movies at an outdoor cinema!

Summer holidays are a perfect opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities all over the world. The summer months go hand-in-hand with barbecue parties, beach volleyball, swimming in the pool, and sunbathing to get a good tan! When you get tired of the sun, though, it's great fun to relax and enjoy a movie in the outdoor cinema.

Nowadays, movie screenings in amphitheaters, squares and parks across the city are becoming more and more popular. It's important, though, to have enough space for lots of spectators, and a movie, of course! So that the 'bilbaínos' (the people of Bilbao), and also visitors to the city can all participate in this activity, this summer, for the second year in a row, the Bilbao City Hall is organising free movie screenings across the city.

If you are taking one of our Spanish courses, this way you can enjoy the summer and meet new people outside of the classroom during your free afternoons. There will be eight screenings, starting on the 19th of July and finishing on the 11th of August. Looking at the films on offer, there will be screenings of the works of great directors like Zemeckis and Miyazaki, and famous movies like Moulin Rouge and the sequel of “A Spanish Affair” (Ocho apellidos vascos), “A Spanish Affair II” (Ocho apellidos catalanes).
