Bilbao: Space Invaders: A challenger for Spanish students
“Space Invaders” is the name given to an artistic project, for which a provocative and anonymous French artist has spent 8 years invading hidden corners of cities around the world. In the most inconspicuous of places, we find these “Martian” mosaics, inspired by the video games of the Eighties.
This is a different, special kind of invasion that has visited various cities across America, Africa, Australia, Asia and Europe. Of course, Bilbao, has not gone unnoticed by the watchful eyes of this anonymous spectator, and there are various samples of these “Martians” around the city. Have you noticed any? If not, keep your eyes peeled and look out for them!
These are the places in which you can find these “Martians”:
- Puente del Arenal (Arenal Bridge)
- Calle Lutxana
- Puente de Cantalojas (Cantalojas Bridge)
- Licienciado Poza
- Bar Ambigú
- Calle Santa María
If you find any other invaders, don´t hesitate to let us know!
