Leisure activities during Spanish courses in Bilbao: it’s regatta time!

Students from our Spanish school have the opportunity to take part in various leisure activities after class, as well as at the weekend. Today, Sunday the 17th April, the river in Bilbao has become one big party to celebrate the XXXI edition of the traditional rowing regatta. So that´s where we´re heading!

This regatta is a rowing competition in which the rowers have to cover a distance of 4 nautical miles (7.408m).
The teams taking part are made up of students from the Superior Technical School of Engineering in Bilbao (blue kit) on one side, and the University of Deusto (red kit) on the other side.
The previous results are 12 victories for the blue team and 18 for the red team.
Today, the team from Deusto added another victory to its list and collected the trophy for the third consecutive time.

In any case, beyond the winners and losers, there is no doubt that the event has left us with a fond memory of a Sunday afternoon in Bilbao. Now, we are eagerly awaiting what the next one has to offer us!
