The Spanish DELE Exam
Are you interested in certifying your level of Spanish through passing an official exam?
The diplomas in Spanish as a foreign language (DELE) confirm your level of Spanish and are backed by the Spanish government. Since 1988, this qualification has been the principal measure of competency in the Spanish language.
Details:
The exam is recognised by Instituto Cervantes and is awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. The qualification is designed to be in accordance with the Common European framework for languages (MCER) of the European Council. As a result, the exam is available in every level; A1 to C2.
The exams take-place 5 times a year, in April, May, July, October and November. Read more here.
Moreover, here we have a personal account, written by a student who carried out the C1 level test.
Studying prior to doing the test:
Instituto Hemingway offers courses that encompass every level, with specialist teaching designed to overcome all of the difficulties that come with learning Spanish as a foreign language. We are experts in tackling challenges such as: the subjunctive, the different past tenses and oral practice.
In fact, one of our current interns, Theo, will be taking the DELE exam in April 2016.
Theo states that 'the exam provides a great opportunity to certify your competency in the language, as well as being an asset to your CV. I think that such a qualification can make the difference in today’s increasingly competitive labour market'.
