International wine tasting and Spanish courses in January 2019
Tuesday 29th of January we have a date with red wine.
29th of January at 19:00 we will have a chance to try very different and interesting wines. Wines from Spain, Chile and Italy.
All students from the Spanish courses are invited to participate in the tasting.
This time we are going to learn about different aromas and varieties of red wine. Specifically we are going to try:
Cascajuelo - Arlanza
We start with a wine that is produced in D.O Arlanza, not very far from Bilbao. A wine from 'Bodegas Sierra', from the mountains. It is a fresh, young wine with violet tones.
An intense aroma. Mature wild berries. Floral notes. Toffee. A light and very nice wine. Well structured.
Axel 2015 Colchagua Valley 2015. Chile
A deep red colour. Aroma and taste of herbs, made of eucalyptus tree, menthol and saffron, with a silky body, vibrant and fruity with a full to medium body and a long and pleasant aftertaste, with hints of spice, flavoured berries, pistachio and cherry oranges. Watermelon ice cream and light taste of oak. A delicious and spicy cabaret with an impressive complexity and depth.
Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2013 Italia
Valpolicella Classic Superior D.O.C. SR from Rino Sartori is a wine obtained through a variety of local grapes from Valpolicella: Covina, Corvione, Rondinella and Molinara.
The grapes that come from the classic region of Valpolicella are monitored with extreme care. Then they collect them when they are at an ideal maturity, they grind them and they soften them for 6-8 days before the period of fermentation using the traditional method of monitoring the temperature to preserve its typical aromas.
We invite all Spanish course students to join us.
