Free activities may 2019 with Spanish courses

We already have cultural activities and visits ready for May 2019. You can see the list of activities in the schedule of the Hemingway Institute website, in the file that we attach or from the extranet.

Remember that all activities are free for Instituto Hemingway students . Including tickets to museums and activities. We encourage you to participate; It is a way to get to know the city, other colleagues and practice your Spanish.
For this month we have scheduled very interesting activities:
We will go to taste gastronomic specialties. On May 2 we are not going to take waffles and on May 6 the traditional chocolate with churros. Do not miss the tasting of Iberian ham on May 23. And since we already have a good heat in Bilbao, on May 27 we will enjoy a selection of ice cream.

The gastronomy is important in our activities and that is why we also include a pintxos and tapas tasting every Friday. Remember that on May 17 we will have an excellent seafood paella so you can get to know the best of Spanish cuisine.

A good recommendation to get to know Bilbao is the climb to Mount Archanda by cable car to discover the best views of the city.

We will visit the Guggenheim Museum on May 14 where we can see both the permanent collection and the new temporary exhibitions.
On September 25 we will visit the Basque Museum where we can learn the history of Bilbao and everything related to Basque culture. In the Museum, we will have the chance to see a large map of Vizcaya with all its towns. Also on May 20 we will visit the Bullring and the Bullfighting Museum.
To complete the visits to museums we have scheduled a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts for April 28. Remember that it is one of the best art galleries in Spain.

In addition to museums we will also have excursions. To mount Archanda, climbing in funicular to have the best views of the city.
For wine lovers, we have scheduled two wine tastings for May 7 and 21 with international red wines and reserve wine
And of course, every Friday we have the pinchos route where we will have the opportunity to taste tortillas, paellas, tapas ... and to talk with teachers and classmates.
