New Wine Tasting: Garnacha! Activity with the Spanish courses
We have a new activity for all students of Spanish courses. It will be on November 19, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.
On this occasion we will focus on tasting one of the grape varieties with more personality: the garnacha
These are the wines that we are going to taste:
ALQUEZ
Type: Red with aging
Grape: Garnacha of old vines over 60 years old coming from the oldest payments of the Sierra de Pardos and Santa Cruz
D.O.P .: Calatayud
Soil: Blackboards
Winery: Sommos Garnacha
Municipality (Province): Murero (Zaragoza)
Vineyard: Average age of the vineyard of 40 years. 1kg production by maximum strain.
Aging: Raised on its lees, working the batonnage technique, in new French oak barrels during its aging period.
Aroma: Of good intensity and quality. Attractive aromas of ripe red fruits and cocoa. Mineral notes originating from the slate soils of the “terroirs” where it is cultivated.
Mouth: Tasty, meaty and perfectly balanced. Spacious with good structure. Highlights fruit, spicy and mineral tones that give it great complexity and personality. Very persistent
It is essential not to exceed the appropriate temperature to taste it as it deserves. Not to be missed!

THE GRANGE
Type of wine: Red
Denomination: Languedoc Roussillon (France)
Winery: Domaine de la Grange
Grapes: Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah
Allergens: Contains Sulfites
It is a concentrated and dense wine with a lot of spice and freshness, fresh fruit, impressive interaction of all the components. It is a mixture of Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah grapes, typical of Languedoc.
His eyesight is intense ruby with light orange highlights; Its concentrated and complex smell, many spices, fresh fruit and freshness and in terms of its flavor is fruity, soft and spicy at the same time.
MOUNT ODINA
This red wine is 100% Garnacha, with Somontano Designation of Origin, it is also 100% organic.
Monovarietal red wine from Garnacha grapes. Its appearance is crystalline, with cherry red color and violet rim. Intense and clean aromas with nuances of rosemary and Mediterranean flowers. Elegant and complex. Black fruits of bramble (blackberry) with flashes of light toast and coffee.
The special service temperature is from 16 to 18ºC, it is a perfect wine to accompany: red meat, stews, roasts and game. This product may be allergenic to people sensitive to sulphurous anhydride.
