Wine Tasting on the 6th February with our Spanish course

25 Feb 2020

On March 3 we invite you to participate in a vertical wine tasting at Instituto Hemingway. The tasting will take place on Thursday, february 6th at 7:00 p.m. The wines that we will present on this occasion come from Ribera del Duero from the Valtoñar winery, and we are delighted with its fruitful flavors and its intense red character.

These are wines from the VALTOÑAR winery, the result of the illusion and work of a family of wine growers settled in the Ribera del Duero since at least the 17th century.

The name of VALTOÑAR comes from a place on the Ribera del Duero where the cultivation of the vine dates back to time immemorial.

We are going to try three wines from different ages to learn about the evolution of aged wine in oak barrels. A vertical tasting with young, aged and reserved wines.

VALTOÑAR JOVEN Tinto
Intense cherry red with purple hues, well covered, fresh, soft and fruity.

VALTOÑAR CRIANZA red wine
More than 14 months in French oak barrels, cherry covered, complex toffee, vanilla, spices and ripe red fruit, friendly and fruity in the mouth with soft and spicy aftertaste.

The other is from VALTOÑAR Alvar Nuñez RESERVE 2010
It is a wine rated ´EXCELLENT´ and made with the oldest payments of one of our talisman wineries. Its characteristics of intense red cherry, very highly layered, very glyceric primary aromas of black fruit, balsamic notes, spicy, vanilla, gives this a wine a firm body and noble tannins, balanced expressively with a long persistence.

I have to invite all the students from the Spanish courses to come and share this great, unmissable adventure with us, we are waiting for you !!!
