All about our October Wine Tasting!
This month, our own Alfredo will be once again showing us with his wonderful knowledge of wines, three different bottles from Viña Albali. We are going to taste the same wine, but from three different ages. It comes from the Tempranillo grape variety, and it is our wine of the year.
Our youngest taster is from 2019. A vibrant cherry red colour with violet highlights and bursting with ripe fruit flavours of strawberries, raspberries, red cherry and a delicate hint of perfume. Well-balanced with a fine structure, and a long, smooth finish. This particular choice pairs well with meat dishes, poultry, pâtés, and cured cheeses.
Our next reserve is a delightful 2015 bottle, having spent 12 months in American oak barrels. It has a ruby-red colour, clear and brilliant, with hints of ripe cherry. Deep, fresh fruit aromas with rich notes of spice and vanilla. The palate is balanced and well-structured.
Our final bottle is a grand 2012 reserve, a mature wine that has a complex elegant bouquet with hints of leather and spices. On the palate it's well balanced and expressive, with rounded and polished tannins. Best served between 18 and 20 degrees.
If you consider yourself a bit of a wine connoisseur, or simply want to have a good time socializing with friends, come along on the 22th October. See you there!
