Wine tasting with Spanish courses September 27, 2021
Next Monday, September 27, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. we invite you to participate in a wine tasting that we have organized here at the Hemingway Institute. Wine tasting is an activity for all students of Spanish courses and people interested in learning about wine. If you are in Bilbao and you like to learn new things, do not hesitate and learn to taste with us.
This time we are going to taste 3 reserve red wines. The idea is to compare different reserve red wines based on the designation of origin of the wine and the varieties used.
These are the three wines that we are going to taste:
Estola 2016 Reserva, has been made with a selection of the best Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards. After fermentation, it remains aged for 24 months in American oak barrels, to achieve the fullness of its extraordinary character.
View: cherry red with brick tones.
Nose: warm and intense aroma with fruity tones framed in an excellent aging in wood.
Mouth: wide and round palate, which is balanced between the nuances of the variety and the characters acquired during the aging in oak.
Sommos 2014 Reserva, is made by assembling the international varieties on which the success of Somontano has been based: cabernet sauvignon, merlot and syrah, and is aged for 12 months in barrels. Tasty and voluptuous, fresh and with a magnificent fruit load.
Gran Coronas 2016 Reserve. Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo are the two varieties that give Gran Coronas its nobility, a deep red wine with ocher and tinged nuances, typical of aging.
The objective of our tasting is to learn to distinguish different types of wine and above all it is an excellent opportunity to learn new vocabulary, many things about wine. So on September 27, 2021 we are waiting for you all to enjoy these three excellent wines
