Cava and nougat tasting with Spanish courses in Bilbao
On Monday, December 13, 2021 at 7:00 pm we will have the stimulating opportunity to enjoy another super interesting cava tasting. All students of the Spanish courses are invited to participate in this free cultural activity.
We will learn about sparkling wines and cavas and about the Spanish language and we will taste Spanish nougat. Nougat is a Christmas dessert made from almonds and honey and the main and most typical product of Christmas in Spain.
The selection of cava we are going to focus on cavas from Jaume Serra's winery: Jaume Serra Brut Organic, Jaume Serra Semi Seco and Lucentum Brut Nature
Regarding Cava Jaume Serra Brut Organic, it must be said that the type of grape used for the production is Parellada Macabeo from organic vineyards. Pale yellow in color, it presents fresh and fruity aromas, with hints of apple and citrus. On the palate it is smooth and balanced, perfect for meat and fish-
Del Cava Jaume Serra Semi Seco is made with the three typical varieties of Penedés: Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada. It shows great expression of fruit on the nose and on the palate it is voluminous thanks to a delicate sweetness.
Lucentum Brut Nature is made with grapes from Requena. Yellow color with greenish tones. Good aromatic intensity, clean fresh and fruity.
And since we are close to Christmas, we are going to pair these wines with nougat and Christmas sweets. Mantecados, polvorones and nougat ...
Go ahead and have fun with us. If you are passionate about wine and Spanish, this is the perfect occasion
