Red Wine Tasting - 18.07.2024

This Thursday 18th July at 19:00 we will be tasting red wines at the Instituto Hemingway.

In this wine tasting we will learn about types of wine, their production process, how to taste and analyse them with the help of an expert, putting our knowledge of wine to the test. This wine tasting will also help to improve your level of Spanish, because the tasting will be in Spanish!

In this wine tasting all students of the Spanish courses are invited.

This time we will taste 3 red wines, starting with the red wine Cascajuelo, this red wine is characterized by its deep ruby colour and an aromatic complexity that distinguishes it as one of the favourites, it has a balanced acidity that gives it freshness and a long and persistent finish, the fruity and spicy notes reappear, leaving a velvety and pleasant sensation. Cascajuelo is produced in the region of La Rioja, one of the most prestigious wine regions in Spain and over the years, Cascajuelo has received numerous awards and recognitions in national and international competitions.

The second red wine we will be tasting is Vinitium, it has an intense cherry red colour with purple reflections, indicative of its youth and concentration in which the aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberries and plums predominate and in which in the mouth the tannins are firm but silky, and the balanced acidity brings freshness. It originates from the region of Ribera del Duero, a denomination of origin located in the heart of Castilla y León and has won numerous awards and recognitions in national and international competitions.

The third and last red wine is Ramón Bilbao Crianza, which presents a bright ruby red colour with garnet reflections, demonstrating its evolution and quality, aromas of ripe red fruits such as strawberries and cherries stand out. On the palate, it is a well-structured wine, with soft and silky tannins, its balanced acidity brings freshness, while the fruity and spicy notes are perfectly integrated, culminating in a long and harmonious finish. Ramón Bilbao Crianza comes from vineyards located in the most prestigious areas of La Rioja Alta and has received numerous awards and recognitions in national and international wine competitions.

We look forward to seeing you there!
