Sherry Wine Tasting: Activity for Spanish Courses at Instituto Hemingway
Next Monday, 2024 November 27th at 7:00 PM, Instituto Hemingway invites all our Spanish course students to an exclusive Sherry wine tasting.
This free activity will be a great opportunity to discover the richness of wines from one of Spain's most famous wine regions. During the tasting, you will enjoy 4 selected wines and learn about their production process, characteristics, and ideal pairings, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.
The Wines We Will Taste
Barbadillo Blanco
A fresh and fruity white wine with aromas of green apple and citrus. This young white wine is perfect for beginners, offering a light and elegant flavor that reflects the freshness of the Cádiz coast. It pairs wonderfully with seafood or light dishes.
Fino La Goya
A classic among Jerez wines, Fino La Goya stands out for its delicacy and dry taste. With pale color and subtle almond notes on the nose, this biologically aged wine is perfect for enjoying its elegance at any time. Pair it with tapas like Iberian ham or Manchego cheese.
Amontillado Argüeso
This wine has a unique complexity, the result of an initial biological aging followed by exposure to air. With aromas of dried fruits, nuts, and a hint of wood, Amontillado Argüeso is ideal for pairing with more intense dishes like roasted meats or game.
Pedro Ximénez Robles
A sweet and decadent wine, Pedro Ximénez Robles is the perfect finale to the tasting. With notes of raisins, dried figs, and honey, its dense and velvety flavor makes it the perfect match for desserts like chocolate cake or blue cheeses.
Why not take this opportunity to improve your Spanish and enjoy some fine wine?
We encourage you to join us, share an evening with your classmates and professors, and discover the fascinating winemaking tradition of Jerez.
