Doing an "internship" at Instituto Hemingway, located in the heart of Bilbao, offers an immersive and enriching experience. As a former intern, I discovered a dynamic, innovative, and warm school where every day presented new opportunities.

I had a rich and varied experience. From the very first day, I was welcomed warmly by a kind and attentive team. Rodrigo, José, and Alfredo immediately made me feel at ease, helping me integrate quickly.

Instituto Hemingway offers high-quality Spanish classes, but it also organizes a wide range of cultural, gastronomic, sports, and touristic activities. These activities allow participants to discover the best spots, museums, and other iconic places in Bilbao. I had the opportunity to set up these activities and plan the monthly program. This mission was very rewarding, as it allowed me to share my ideas and interact with international students while exploring Bilbao.

The tasks at Instituto Hemingway are highly diverse. I had the chance to handle administrative management, such as organizing visas and managing students. In addition, I participated in event organization, with activities taking place two to three times a week. This allowed me to take charge of event planning and coordination. I also had the chance to write blog articles to promote Bilbao, the school’s activities, and other topics for their website. What I particularly enjoyed was managing the school’s social media. This gave me a great deal of creative freedom, especially to design engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, allowing me to use my imagination to create stories and captivating posts.

The lifestyle in Bilbao is truly amazing. During almost my entire stay, the weather was warm and pleasant. Additionally, the beach is easily accessible, which is a big advantage. As for transportation, it’s very convenient: almost everything can be done on foot, making daily life in the city simple and enjoyable.
