Wine tasting
Wine tasting
Yesterday, Institut Hemingway organized a wine tasting and discovery activity.
First, participants were introduced to the vocabulary needed to talk about wine.
Then, the differences between wines were discussed, such as type, different production regions, storage conditions and age.
The host then suggested an activity: smelling samples and trying to determine the aroma. Participants tried to guess what they smelled and then shared their opinions.
The presenter also explained the wine analysis process: seeing (looking at the wine through a sheet), smelling (trying to identify aromas) and drinking.
Once the glasses had been “put into wine”, the participants began the tasting: accompanied by chorizo, cheese and bread, they were able to taste three different wines and share their opinions and preferences.
It was an interesting and convivial moment of exchange.
