Activities 2025 August

The activities for August at Instituto Hemingway begin on Friday, August 1st at 8:00 PM with typical Basque food: pintxos. Join us to experience the flavors of Basque cuisine in good company.

On Monday, August 4th at 5:00 PM, we’ll visit another iconic symbol of Bilbao: the Guggenheim Museum. The perfect opportunity to dive into art with your classmates.

Wednesday, August 6th is beach day! At 3:00 PM we’ll head to the beaches of northern Spain.

On Friday, August 8th at 8:00 PM, we meet again for pintxos. Another chance to try new tastes and combinations.

Our wine tasting is not to be missed: on Tuesday, August 12th at 7:00 PM we’ll discover aromas and flavors together on a sensory journey.

On Thursday, August 14th at 8:00 PM we’ll host a beer pong tournament – a great opportunity to relax and have fun.

To celebrate Bilbao’s Semana Grande, we’ve included two bullfighting events this month. On Wednesday, August 20th at 5:00 PM and Friday, August 22nd at 10:15 AM, we’ll experience one of Spain’s greatest festivals live.

On Tuesday, August 26th at 7:00 PM we’ll explore more regional wines in our second tasting of the month.

As August comes to an end, so does summer – and it’s time for one last ice cream! On Thursday, August 28th at 5:00 PM, we’ll enjoy a refreshing ice cream in Bilbao’s Casco Viejo.

The month ends just as it began – with our beloved pintxos: food and company, the best way to say goodbye to August!
