Red Wine Tasting: Flavors of Aragón for Spanish Students November 26, 2025
Hemingway Institute invites you to a very special event: our exclusive Aragonese red wine tasting on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
This is a fantastic (and very cool) opportunity to dive into the world of Spanish wine, try three reds with great personality, and most importantly, speak Spanish outside the classroom!
Our event offers a super friendly and relaxed atmosphere, ideal for socializing with your classmates, losing the fear of making mistakes, and learning new vocabulary about flavors and sensations. Because learning Spanish with a glass in hand is always more fun.
This time, our palate will travel to Aragón, the land of the Garnacha grape, a variety that is trendy for being fruity, smooth, and delicious. The wines we will taste are:
The intense "Campo de Borja": Known as the Empire of Garnacha. A full-bodied red wine with a taste of ripe fruit. Pure power!
The heroic "Calatayud": Wines from vineyards located at high altitudes, in areas almost impossible to farm. They have a unique and very mineral character that will surprise you.
The elegant "Somontano": A fresh and aromatic red born at the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains. Perfect for those looking for something smoother and more sophisticated.
Why not combine Spanish practice with a unique cultural experience and discover why wines from Aragón are so famous?
