Cultural Activities April 2026 at Instituto Hemingway

We have prepared a variety of free activities to discover and enjoy the culture of Bilbao during April. If you are in Bilbao this month, why not come and share the experience with us?

On Wednesday, April 1st at 19:00, we will start the month with live music by attending a Basque Fest concert, a vibrant event full of energy and tradition.

On Thursday, April 2nd at 19:00, we will experience a unique cultural event by taking part in a Holy Week procession, one of the most emblematic celebrations.

On Friday, April 3rd at 18:00, we will enjoy a sports exhibition as part of Basque Fest, where we will discover traditional Basque sports.

On Tuesday, April 7th at 19:00, students will take part in a wine tasting, learning to distinguish aromas, flavors, and characteristics of different varieties.

On Wednesday, April 8th at 17:00, we will visit the Museum of Sacred Art, discovering valuable historical and religious pieces.

On Friday, April 10th at 20:00, we will enjoy our pintxos night, a great opportunity to socialize and taste some of the most typical Basque flavors.

On Monday, April 13th at 16:00, we will taste a delicious Spanish omelette, one of the most representative dishes of Spanish gastronomy.

On Wednesday, April 15th at 17:00, we will visit a cozy cat café, a unique experience to relax in the company of adorable cats.

On Thursday, April 16th at 16:00, we will visit the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, exploring its wide collection from classical to contemporary art.

On Friday, April 17th at 20:00, we will once again enjoy our weekly pintxos night.

On Tuesday, April 21st at 16:00, we will visit the famous Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, exploring its contemporary art exhibitions and iconic architecture.

On Wednesday, April 22nd at 16:00, we will visit the Provincial Palace, an emblematic and historic building.

On Thursday, April 23rd at 19:00, we will hold another Spanish wine tasting.

On Friday, April 24th at 20:00, we will enjoy another pintxos night.

On Monday, April 27th at 17:00, we will taste delicious Iberian ham sandwiches, a must-try gastronomic experience.

On Tuesday, April 28th at 17:00, we will visit the Archaeological Museum to discover the region’s ancient history.

On Wednesday 29 at 19:00, we will gather at the Arriaga Theatre to celebrate together the 140th anniversary of the Bilbao Choral Society, in collaboration with the University of Deusto and the Chamber of Commerce.

On Thursday, April 30th at 20:00, we will close the month with a final pintxos night together.
