Surf in Bilbao – Free initiation trial

It is not a secret that the coast line near Bilbao has some of the most interesting beaches for surfing among all of the coastal in the north of Spain. Larrabasterra, Sopelana, and of course the famous waves of Mundaka, offer an excellent opportunity to surf lovers to practice surfing.

At Instituto Hemingway we encourage our students of Spanish to practice this sport. After classes, many students take the metro and go to any of the beaches situated in the coast near Bilbao. To make sure about the sea conditions, we count on the testimony of the collaborators that inform us about the sea conditions, the existence of waves, and the atmospheric conditions…everything…so our students know in advance what they are going to encounter once they get to the beach.

We believe that surfing is a precious and demanding sport and that is why we encourage our Spanish school’s students to go and enjoy the beach. Furthermore, for those who do not have the proper equipment or the surf board, we have arrangements available for the renting of equipment at very affordable prices for the suit and accessories, showers…all by the beach.

We know that many students have never practiced surfing. That is not a problem because we have a 10-hour week course for just 110 Euros with everything included: surf board, teacher, insurance…

And for those willing to try it, on the 14th of July, we have organized a free initiation trial for all the students enrolled in our Spanish courses, voluntary programs, and internships. So, after class, bring your swim suit because we are going to make some waves.
