Experience the Bilbao BBK Live Festival as a Spanish student

We would like to highlight a great opportunity this summer; taking a Spanish course with Instituto Hemingway in Bilbao, while enjoying the BBK Live Festival!

On the 7th, 8th and 9th of July 2016 the capital of Biscay will host, for the 11th year, the Bilbao BBK Live Festival. This event attracts both international visitors as well as people from across Spain.

If you decide to start your summer in this vibrant city, you will also have the exciting prospect of learning Spanish or refining your language skills with an interactive course in Instituto Hemingway. With morning classes, you will also have lots of free time to explore this beautiful area of northern Spain.

Mumford & Sons, Muse and Kodaline are some of the stars that have previously played at the BBK Live Festival; it is renowned for having an excellent atmosphere. You can get to know Bilbao throughout these 3 days, as the events take places in various stages across the city, simultaneously!

This year there will be 5 different stages which offer a varied range of both local and international music. However, one of the stages Basoa (Forest), is particularly special. A new addition for 2016, Basoa will offer a unique atmosphere with a 24 hour DJ. The idea is to have a bar and stage which look like parts of a natural environment- the perfect place to meet up with friends and have a great time!

Headline acts at this year´s Bilbao BBK Live Festival, from Thursday the 7th to Saturday the 9th of July, include Canadians Arcade Fire, American band the Pixies and the alternative Tame Impala all the way from Australia. Of course, there are many more acts on show; you can view the timetable here.
