New activities in August for students of the spanish course

August is perhaps the month that best represents summer, this marvelous season which, with its intense luminosity, makes us long for skies with some gray clouds; with its violent and sometimes unbearable heat it makes us appreciate the freshness of a glass of water or a dip in the salty sea water.

But the Hemingway Institute doesn't close its doors to go on vacation and continues to offer its students various interesting activities.

To begin with, Wednesday 2 August at 17.00 we will have the opportunity to shelter from the summer heat by eating delicious ice creams in one of the best bars in the city.

Thursday 3 August at 15.00 we will visit the Cathedral of Santiago, a catholic cathedral of the fourteenth century with a discreet neo-Gothic facade.

Monday 7 August at 19.00 as a well-deserved reward after an intense morning study session we can have fun with a game of futbolin in one of the bars in the historic centre.

Tuesday 8 August with the special collaboration of Professor Alfredo we will be able to taste typical wines in the classrooms of our institute.

Thursday 10 August at 16.00 we will visit the very famous GUGGENHEIM Museum, a museum of contemporary art designed by Canadian architect Frank O. Gehry.

Monday 14th August at 3.00 pm we will go to the beach where we can have fun playing with water or sand.

Tuesday 15 August at 17.00 you can visit the city from another perspective: we will ride on bikes.

Wednesday 16 August at 15.00 Basilica Di Begona awaits us to show you all its beauties.

Furthermore, for three days we will have the opportunity to toreo , one of the most deeply rooted traditions of Spanish culture. The days are: Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd August at 5.00pm and Friday 25th August at 10.00am.

On Thursday July 20 we will go on an excursion to the Castle of Butrón, a neo-Gothic fortress of medieval origin, declared a Historic Heritage.

Wednesday 30th August instead at 15.00 we will go on a kayak trip. and To end this busy month, Thursday 31 August we can take a dip in the blue waters of Sopelana Beach.

These activities together with the classic dinners of French pintxos are free for our students of the Spanish classes in Bilbao.
