Cultural activity: Flamenco show Thursday 11th (and paella Friday 12th!)
Instituto Hemingway invites you to a very Spanish event on Thursday 11th of January, the day we are going to take our students to see a flamenco show! As part of the Neguan Flamenco concert series, they will be able to see the Sevillian cantaora Inma La Carbonera, who will showcase her talent in both the art of flamenco dancing and her gift of voice. La Carbonera's dance and voice will be joined by guitarist Antonia Jiménez, whose skill has taken her all over the world in her musical career.
If you are passionate about Spanish music and culture, don't hesitate to sign up for this activity! It will be a unique experience to appreciate and enjoy this part of Spain's artistic world.
For the visit we will meet here at the Instituto Hemingway as usual, this time at 19:15. To sign up you only need to be enrolled on one of our Spanish courses or volunteer programmes, and write your name on the blackboard on the same day in the morning, or get in touch with us. The cultural activities at Instituto Hemingway are always free for all our students and volunteers, so see you there!
We would also like to take this opportunity to let our students know that on Friday 12th January we will be changing our typical pintxos night for a paella night. On this day our students will be able to enjoy the typical Valencian dish here with us in Bilbao. The only change is to put paella instead of pintxos, so it will still be the same meeting point - here at the Institute, at the same time of 20:00, after which we will go to the venue to have dinner together. If you're a student with us, don't miss it, and if you're not - don't worry, it's never too late to join the Hemingway family.
See you there!
