Excursions to the snow – Spanish school in Bilbao

During the months of January and February we want to take advantage of the snow season by visiting ski resorts close to the city of Bilbao. Therefore, we have programmed 3 ski visits in which all students on Spanish courses and work placements can participate.

We will undertake the first 2 excursions during January to the ski station of Valdezcaray (in La Rioja) which is situated only one hour away from the school in Bilbao. The station, although it is small, has 22km of ski slopes which will guarantee fun for beginners and advanced skiers.

But without a doubt our star excursion will be a weekend in the Pyrenees at the station Baqueira Beret, with 104km of ski slopes it is considered one of the best ski resorts in Spain. In the same way we did last year, we will leave Bilbao on the Friday after Spanish classes and sleep in a nice apartment in Valle de Arán. After a weekend full of excitement we will return to Bilbao on the Sunday afternoon, ready to restart Spanish classes.

The exact days of the excursions will be announced and will depend on the state of the snow and climatic conditions but the provisional dates are:
