Spanish teacher needed in head office in Bilbao

Instituto Hemingway is looking for an ELE Spanish teacher in the head office in Bilbao, to start immediately.
You will be working with a group of students from 9:30 to 13:30, following the Institute’s set format and curriculum. The classes are divided into two sessions, from 9:30 to 11:30 and from 12:00 to 13:30.
At Instituto Hemingway we use communicative teaching, following the Curricular Plan of Instituto Cervantes, which develops and sets levels of Spanish according to the recommendations proposed by the Council of Europe in 2001. This structure can be adjusted according to each of the six levels of progression in language learning as established by the Council of Europe’s reference framework for languages: learning, teaching and assessment, introduced to celebrate the European Year of Languages.
Basing our programme on the Curricular Plan, Instituto Hemingway has developed its own teaching plan, specifically tailored to each of the courses and levels which we offer and which must be followed by the successful applicant.
The job is aimed at people with specific training in teaching Spanish as an ELE foreign language, and especially at those who have completed the Spanish teachers’ course which Instituto Hemingway runs, whether in person or via distance learning (virtual classroom). The position is also open to language graduates or professional teachers with training qualifications or experience in teaching foreign languages.
The contract will have an initial duration of 30 days with the possibility of extending it to three months or even a permanent position depending on demand and the applicant’s skills.
We offer an employment contract including National Insurance/Social Security. The salary is set according to the ‘convenio de aplicación’, plus overtime and the option of individual classes which are given in the afternoons.
