Museum of the passages of Holy Week
The nine brotherhoods of Bilbao count from the 7 of March of 2001 with an enclosure where they gather part of their history. The Museum of the Passages of Easter, located in number 3 of the Iturribide Street –an old warehouse- lodges the Passages that compose the Crucis Route of the Passion of Christ in the Bilbao Easter, in addition to diverse statures, “A patrimony that many Easters wanted to have”
Also, each brotherhood has a space, to present its history, its habit, its standards, and diverse equipment that distinguishes each Brotherhood and confers a spirit and own characteristics to them. In order to support the new cultural alternative oh the Villa and to prepare the one that was an old wines warehouse, a coal bunker and also a shed for donkeys, the City Council and the Regional Delegation have invested 120.000 euros. This is the first Museum of these characteristics in the Basque Country, similar to the existing ones Valladolid, Zamora or Valencia.
