A New Diploma in Spanish- DELE Level A1
The Cervantes Institute (Spanish academic society) has released first exam to obtain a Diploma in Spanish as a foreign language (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera, or DELE) level A1 which will take place in May 2009.
The DELE Level A1 (Access level) is a certificate which demonstrates competence in the Spanish language, the first of six levels on the European language-learning mark scale, with reference to teaching, learning and evaluation.
This award certifies that the individual is able to cope simple language communication scenarios in day-to-day life. The A1 diploma in Spanish is a stepping stone for learners of Spanish into the Spanish-speaking world.
These are the four parts of the examination for general use of the language:
Understanding in reading exercises
Understanding in listening exercises
Competence in writing exercises
Competence in speaking exercises
This diploma is an award in Spanish with international recognition and meets the current offer of levels with Spanish diplomas. This new A1 level allows you to better connect with the public after an introduction to the Spanish language, which evaulates your level of knowledge after starting your studies and will give you an incentive for your studies.
This award will be open to students after the Cervantes convention in May 2009. Students can apply between 2nd March and 24th April.
At Instituto Hemingway, we can help you to prepare for any of the DELE exams. Our courses and teachers, who specialise in the exam, can guarantee success in the exams. Also, remember that you can take the exam here in Bilbao.
