Spanish Classes and Surfing in Bilbao and the Basque Country

Soon the temperature of the water will rise, and so it will be time to start surfing! We invite you to come and learn Spanish with us in Bilbao. Then, after classes and at the weekend, we are offering you the opportunity to go surfing!

On several occasions during spring-time and in summer .We are offering students the chance to go surfing as part of the language classes program. A teacher will accompany you and we will provide the board and wetsuit.

If you would prefer an intensive surfing course or simply to hire the equipment, we have an excellent offer for you. For example, a 10 hours surfing course (2 hours daily Monday to Friday) will cost you only 110 euros with all the equipment hire included. Also, after finishing your Spanish lessons, our ‘baywatchers’ will let you know what the sea is like and how high the waves are, so if there are no waves, you don’t need to waste your time and can book your course for another day.

The Basque coast, known for its rough seas, is the perfect place to practise this sport. The waves at beaches such as Zarautz, La Salvaje, Mundaka, Sopelana and Bakio are amongst the best in the world.

Surfing in Bilbao and in Vizcaya is like a religion, the conditions of the Cantabrian coast and the beaches have made surfing one of the most practised sports in the Vizcaya province.
