Wine Tasting in Bilbao with Spanish Courses
Here at Instituto Hemingway, we consider it very important to combine Spanish classes with leisure activities which teach about the culture and customs of the country. In fact, we integrate extra-curricular activities in our Spanish Language courses.
Therefore we propose a fun activity to all of our students of Spanish and all of our students on internship placements to learn a little more about the culture of wine.
On Wednesday 2nd December, we invite you to come to the school at 19:30 to learn about wines. On this occasion we will concentrate on red wines matured in Rioja. We will also learn a little about the making and maturing of different varieties of wines
In the tasting we will learn to look at a wine, discovering lots of shades visually, and learning how to describe them. We will also try to educate our noses to identify the aromas emitted by the wine, looking for different identifications of variety and maturity.
The wines we are going to try are Rioja reds, Crianza and Reserva of Rioja Alavesa, and Rioja Alta.
So on Wednesday 2nd December we are going to put our noses and our palates to the test and throw ourselves into the marvellous world of wine. Of red wine to be exact. We’re waiting for you!
