Spanish as a foreign language: visiting teachers needed in the USA and Canada – 2010-2011 session

The Ministry of Education, is advertising places for visiting Spanish teachers for the USA and Canada.

This is a magnificent opportunity for anyone who has specialist Spanish training. The requirements for applicants vary according to the area, but all placements will provide a great experience for teachers who specialise in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

The visiting teachers will work in an American or Canadian centre of primary or secondary education on a temporary basis, in similar conditions to those of the teachers in those countries.

Through this programme, Masters and Teachers of Secondary Education, whether Government employees or not, can compete for the teaching places, thus gaining professional and personal enrichment which will be a great advantage in improving the quality of teaching in future jobs in Spain, at the same time as having a very positive effect on the teaching of Spanish to American and Canadian students, who are increasingly choosing Spanish as a second language or a first foreign language.

Our former and current students on the course for teachers of Spanish as a foreign language have a very interesting opportunity to work abroad and experience life in another country.
