Flamenco and Sevillanas courses for Spanish Language students in Bilbao
On 14th February we have the opportunity to go attend a Flamenco class to learn the various forms of this traditional dance. The class will last 1.5 hours, taking place between 8.30 and 10.00pm, meeting at our main office on Calle Bailén in Bilbao.
The objective of the class is to learn the basic steps of sevillanas and some of the principal ideas behind flamenco as a form of dance. Currently living in Bilbao, our teacher has studied in Madrid and worked there in many of the leading companies so this is a fantastic opportunity for us to learn!
Our first class is aimed at beginners and people interested in this form of artistic expression. No special preparation is required, just excitement and enthusiasm.
At Instituto Hemingway we organise many cultural activities which compliment our Spanish courses. It is a way for students and teachers to enjoy the city, get to know each other better and of course, make friends and practise the Spanish that we have learn in class.
Every afternoon we organise free cultural activities for our students of Spanish and also invite students´ visitors to join us. So this time we will see each other dancing flamenco!
