Learn Spanish on Placement in Hotels and Restaurants in Spain

Instituto Hemingway is an international teaching centre that promotes the exchange of students from the EU, USA and Australia. Since it was established in 1998, more than 1000 students of diverse nationalities have passed through the school.

Perhaps one of the most interesting programs is the Hotel and Restaurant work placement, which allows the students to learn Spanish and gain professional experience in hospitality at the same time. This type of placement allows them to live in Spain, learn Spanish, get to know the gastronomical delights of Spain, as well as working in a hotel. For the students it’s a great life experience that allows them to meet lots of new people.

The possibility of work placements increases with the arrival of summer, due to the number of tourists from Spain, Europe and America that stay in Spanish hotels in order to enjoy the cities and the countryside.

At the moment, we are offering very interesting placements in the Barcelona region, specifically in the tourist area of Lloret de Mar.

Lloret de Mar offers unbeatable surroundings; beaches and coves that charm everyone. It is a very popular summer holiday destination in Spain, because of its beaches, water sports, hiking, Nordic walking, scuba diving and snorkeling amongst other activities.

In Lloret de Mar, we are collaborating with various hotels to offer work placements to students, working in kitchens and restaurants.
