Music Festival in Bilbao whilst studying Spanish in Bilbao

Some of our students make the most of their time here by enjoying some good music while taking Spanish classes in Bilbao. At Instituto Hemingway we hope that the students who are taking Spanish classes with us participate in the activities that are organized in the city as a way of getting to know the Spanish culture and way of life.

Every year Bilbao is home to the famous BBK Live festival where rock bands from around the world come to play.

This year the festival will take place on the 8th, 9th and 10th of July and has a great line up including major rock bands such as Rammstein, Pearl Jam and Faith No More alongside punk bands such as Anti-Flag and Dropkick Murphys and some great indie bands such as The Maccabees.

The festival site is just a 10 minute drive from the Instituto Hemingway school. If you do not have access to a car a public bus service usually runs from the centre of Bilbao to the site. Alternatively a taxi to the site would be relatively inexpensive.

Tickets cost €110 for a three day ticket including camping, and €50 for each individual day. These can be bought from the BBK website www.bbk.es
