Excursion to Mount Pagasarri with Spanish teachers and students of Instituto Hemingway
Excursion to Mount Pagasarri with students and teachers of Spanish at Instituto Hemingway.
This past Saturday, November 13th, the students studding Spanish Murilo and his girlfriend, Juliana from Brazil, Sophie Thomas and Wilfred from Germany accompanied with their teachers Maider, Noelia y Elena as well as the director of the institute, have been able to climb the legendary mountain of 875 meters Pagasarri. The meeting point was as always at the institute at 10:00am. They all arrived puntual and we were able to start the journey at a fast pace with lots of smiles. During the trip we intersperse anecdotes, teaching some Spanish words and singing traditional songs in Spanish. The sun was shining and the weather accompanied us. The first to touch the top was the Director of the institute, because he is in excellent physical shape. Wilfred However, our German student is fond of climbing and it seemed very easy for him. Upon reaching the summit, which wa svery popular with collective groups and friends, we went to a restaurante to ask for a coffee and hot soup. The views of Bilbao from the mountains were spectacular and we could see the Museum, Tower Gugghenheim and Iberdrola. After we took various photos we went down to take a stop at a diner where the Spanish teachers brought magnificant potato tortillas, great cakes and delicious breaded loins.
Everything was very tasty. They had woken up early to cook and still had an excellant sense of humour. All washed down with good Spanish wine and a toast to us and our Spanish courses at Instituto Hemingway.
