The anniversary celebration of Instituto Hemingway
Last week, on the 14th of January, Instituto Hemingway celebrated its anniversary with its students. As always, the Instituto was full of students from the past, from the “ELE” course for Spanish teachers, as well as from the hospitality management and volunteering programmes. Of course, family and friends of the school also came too, and the large classroom where the event took place, was fit to burst!
Our friends and students devoured all the food and almost all the drink, shared anecdotes and stories and there were smiles and sounds of laughter all round. The 2004 reserve Pata Negra de Rioja was also a highlight. Our teachers Diana and Noelia were two of the lucky winners in the prize draw, but we promise it hadn´t been tampered with! The light had to keep being turned on and off, because they didn´t want to leave the school after more than 4 hours of partying. Eventually, we made it to the Casco Viejo where we danced and continued to enjoy the celebration until the early hours of the morning. Many thanks to all who came to the anniversary party, to those who sent us congratulatory messages by email, and to those who follow us on Facebook
