Our material for Spanish courses goes green
Our Spanish school, Instituto Hemingway, has joined the ecological bandwagon and is giving all its new students an ecological notebook made from recycled paper.
The cover of this notebook is made from cardboard and it comes with a matching pen. Students will now be able to take notes during their lessons, safe in the knowledge that they are contributing to the preservation of forests and trees and, at the same time, developing awareness of the importance of recycling in today´s society.
This gift is just one part of the promotional material that new students receive upon their arrival here in Bilbao. They also receive a welcome folder containing everything they need to know about Bilbao and the surrounding region: gastronomy, tourism, leisure and sport, as well as a map and other information enabling a relaxed and enjoyable stay in the city.
This isn’t the only recycled item we use in school; we have many colleagues and students who are staunch supporters of recycling and environmental protection. For example, one of our teachers makes bags and various cases (pencil cases, glasses cases…) using plastic from crisp and biscuit packets as her primary material.
