Instituto Cervantes celebrates its 20th birthday promoting Spanish in the word
On the 22nd of March 1991, the reasons behind the creation of the Instituto Cervantes were published in the Official Bulletin of the State of the Law 7/1991, dated the previous day, the 21st March. Today, Instituto Cervantes is present in five continents, thanks to a network of 77 centres dedicated to the teaching of Spanish and the dissemination of the Spanish and Hispano-American culture.
It is an honour for Instituto Hemingway, an accredited centre since 2006, to be able to form part of this network of centres. In our personal and professional experience, being part of this network of accredited centres has enabled us to improve the quality of service we offer our students. It has helped us to better introduce our students to the Spanish culture thanks to the huge cultural offering provided by Instituto Cervantes and, above all, we are witnessing the evolution of and growing interest in the Spanish language across the world.
