Activities in the Spanish courses in Bilbao “Una flauta mágica” in the theatre Arriaga

Friday the 13th of May, students of Instituto Hemingway will watch the representation of the work “Una flauta mágica” by W.A Mozart, which will be held in the theatre Arriaga at 8:00pm.

The work is freely adapted by Peter Brooke, Franck Krawczyk and Marie-Héléne Estienne. Peter Brook is currently the most prestigious director and man of the theatre world. His last show was a personal adaptation of La flauta mágica by W.A.Mozart for piano and three instruments. A creation which fascinate fans of theatre and opera.

The staged this “Flute” will be far from what one might expect. The usual array of scenic effects, the symbolism will not be part of the trip. Instead the public can find a forever young Mozart, surrounded by talented young singers, willing to improvise, transpose, and explore new colours and shapes. A “Flute” light and effervescent where the proximity of the interpretation will allow the viewer to enter the magic and the beauty of the work.

The work will approximately last 1 hour and 35 minutes and there is no break.

All of the students from the Spanish courses from Instituto Hemingway and from the programs of exchange are invited to accompany us to the theatre Arriaga. This activity is free for all. The meeting place is at Instituto Hemingway at 7:30pm.
