Our Spanish students enjoy hot chocolate and churros
At about 4 o´clock this Tuesday afternoon on 7th June, our students from the Institute went off to enjoy churros- a special type of Spanish doughnut - along with molten hot chocolate in a nearby cafe.
The cafe was a little behind so we had to wait 15 minutes before we were able to taste the famous churros. The smells from the kitchen tortured us so much so that when the churros finally arrived our plates were clean in about 2 minutes. After having been made to wait, we were even more delighted with the taste of the churros and hot chocolate, they were simply delicious and the two together formed a perfect combination.
Around the table, we were all different nationalities: a Polish girl, a German girl, a French girl, a Turkish girl, a Brazilian guy, a Swiss guy and an American. So that we all understood each other, we decided to speak the common language, Spanish, which was a great opportunity to practice.
We spent a lovely afternoon together and we all very much enjoyed getting to know each other in Spanish over some traditional Spanish food.
