Upcoming excursions in our Spanish language school: San Sebastian

Enrolling yourself on a course with Instituto Hemingway here in Bilbao also allows you the possibility to participate in the wide variety of cultural activities on offer by our school – it´s not just books and studying!

This coming Monday, the 15th of August, our students of Spanish will be visiting San Sebastian to discover its beauty and learn more about the city of global gastronomic fame.

San Sebastian is situated only one hour from Bilbao by bus, and both its appearance as well as the buzzing atmosphere of its streets make it a fantastic option for a daytrip; both to enjoy the company of other students and to practice speaking Spanish.

A tour guide will be accompanying our students around the city, showing them the most emblematic sights and explaining the city´s history. Together with him, we will visit the cathedral, the impressive Plaza de la Constitución, the monuments and churches of popular interest, as well as Mount Urgüll and its ruins and other hidden gems. We certainly won´t forget to spend some time on the beach Playa de la Concha, known as one of Europe´s most attractive urban beaches. Furthermore, we will wander through the streets of the charming old town, stopping in some of the endless “pintxos” bars to try the famous Basque cuisine and recharging our batteries after our guided tour, before returning to Bilbao.
