Spanish students enjoy a night at the theatre: endless laughs on Avenue Q…

On a cool Friday night, both students and teachers from Instituto Hemingway headed to the Arriaga Theatre to watch Avenue Q, a musical which has seen huge success all over the world and has now come to Bilbao. The show features both actors and puppets but is executed with an incredibly impressive level of professionalism. With hilarious characters, it is funny, playful and was the perfect light-hearted way to end the week. Although not entirely politically correct, everyone had a brilliant time and even those students who had recently begun to learn Spanish could follow the story due to its visual nature.
Avenue Q features a witty storyline, catchy music and attractive scenery. It is loosely based on "Sesame Street" and serves as an affectionate homage to the show, evoking memories of our students´childhood. The incessant laughs of our students proved that they had all enjoyed the production and everyone left the theatre humming the tunes from its soundtrack.
