DELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language Diploma): a future title.
Every year, Cervantes Institute announces the start of the registration period for the DELE Diploma, and the next sign-up period will be in November this year.
The DELE diploma is an official title, internationally accredited, and recognizes the level of Spanish attained. Based on the levels proposed by the Council of Europe, and its Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), the Cervantes Institute issues diplomas corresponding to the level of Spanish: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. The DELE diploma is very useful for Spanish language students, both abroad and in Spain. More and more educational institutions expect DELE diplomas from students to be accepted onto certain courses, along with many companies for whom it is now a requirement.
Anyone for whom Spanish is not a first language, but wants to officially accredit their knowledge of the language, can sit the exam.
The exam is now available in over 100 countries, of the five continents, in any of the following terms: May, August and November.
