,The Spanish as a Foreign Language Teacher Training course begins at the Instituto Hemingway

Last Thursday, 13th October saw the start of the October Spanish as a Foreign Language Teacher Training course at the Instituto Hemingway. Our new trainee teachers come in all different shapes and sizes, and come from all over Spain, but they all share the same dream: to travel abroad to share their language with the world.

To teach abroad is a fantastic opportunity; it offers both the chance to travel and job prospects that may not be available at home. However, these positions have become increasingly sought-after in recent years. Consequently, the qualification provided by our course, officially recognised by the Instituto Cervantes, offers our trainees an important advantage when applying for teaching posts. Furthermore, the training and tools that it provides also benefits the promotion of the Spanish language abroad, since foreign students will be taught by teachers of the highest quality.

The course will continue until 22nd December, by which time the students will have learned to view their own language from a teacher’s perspective and have gained a thorough knowledge of teaching theories and techniques. The course also includes two paid work experience placements.
